WE sometimes take for granted our "gifts" of perception. Should we ignore the signal to our next turn in life when it comes in the form of a DREAM? Should we forget the imagery so clearly layed out in our poetic verses? Is it from your spirit or your soul? Was the message unearthed or did it unfold?
Who is really speaking when you write? Who is really doing the creating when you create?
What you saw; you have seen before. It is a loop caught on the timeline. The question is did you catch it, assemble it, dissect it or project it?
You can do a rewind ~ ~ ~ or you can fast --------- forward. It won't really matter if you take for granted your "gift" of perception. NOW will it?

Boldly we go where so many have gone before
Each informed by our unique set and setting.
Some perform alchemy, mixing metaphors
Upon a marble altar.
Telling sooth, or constantly mapping the stars,
We tell ourselves ancient fantasies,
sometimes reclothed to fit the current fashion.
There are werecreatures, energy vampires,
Lions and Tigers and Bears,
Insects infected with rare, lethal archetypes
-- angry demons mating with our own cells
To destroy us.
There are lethal conspiracies of demon-men,
Bent on self-destruction of their/our whole half-species.
There are warships and projectiles of evil
Invading our consciousnesses, destroying our dreams.
There are armies of the night, marching,
Conscripting our young, our heartland, our hierophants.
We watch, and scribble notes, often indecipherable.
We chant like banshees, chattering primates,
Impressed with our own noise.
Sometimes we forget for a bit, slip out of the script;
We awaken to find ourselves singing;
Creating heavenly music.

NOW is where we are and where we always are every second of every day. The question is ~ What shall we do in our "NOW"?
WE can catch our inspirational "NOW" moments or . . .
Assemble our divine "NOW" moments or . . .
Dissect our infectious thoughts and erase them in our "NOW" moments . . .
or Project the golden rays within us in our "NOW" moments.
But, it is always our "gift" of perception that must not be taken for granted ~ Not "NOW" not ever.
For that we must be grateful ~ and for the "gift" of perception, I show gratitude.

I think I am a philosopher and teacher first rene. Always thinking about the two worlds so different and so intermingled. About people and the lies so easily believed. Thinking how to reach them with truth in the very spot where they will have that moment of revelation. Poetry is one of the tools.
What you write is still true. If He is not free to think His thoughts in my mind and lead me where He wants me to go all is a waste. Like my first Snippet poem says "Lord be me, and let me cease to be."

I believe that we all have messages to deliver through our words. Some unspoken ~ some verbal ~ some written.
Our "looks" tell stories, our body language tells a story, and our physical and mental condition tells a story.
Unique and distinct we all are. God knowing us each very well. I do believe, like you, that the spirit of the Lord works through you, but not where you cease to be in the sense that who you uniquely are is diminished to nothing. I believe you are enhanced by the Spirit of the Lord. Perfected by the Spirit of the Lord. Brought out by the Spirit of the Lord. And, that what He seeks to accomplish in you and through you occurs when you surrender your will.
If the vessel be broken, it is not fit for use. As He is the Master Potter ~ so we be the clay. And, in that sense, yes I say, "shape me and remake me into the image you destined me to be." But let me never try to make myself, for I cannot SEE me as God does. His intent for me, Purpose for me and Destiny for me I seek to align with. I AM not always on track, but I know that I need only "ASK" for realignment.
I understand what you mean when you say, "Lord be me, and let me cease to be."
I take that to mean ~ let all that is not of Him also not be of me. Let me lose all of my selfish ways, and may they cease to be. Yet God, let me BE who You have so created me to BE. Let me say those things in the way that God created me to say them. Let me do those things in the way that God created me to do them. As only I can with His Holy Spirit working through me and in me. For I was created for His purpose as I AM in HIM.
Knowing that we each cannot come across the same people, or deliver messages in the same way. I know God's grand plan in making each of us is not a mistake. Just the way we are with all of our flaws and vulnerabilities ~ with JOY and LOVE in our hearts, we can SEE people for who they really are -- not who we make them out to be. We are each a part of the Spirit of the Living God. In that I respect everyone.

It is exactly what I mean. People have some variation on how they see things. I see the old me as dead in Adam ... I became new when the life of Christ came into me. During my years on earth I want to yield to God through the new life even though the old life still calls to me to fulfill it's self centered needs. Yielding to the new life from Christ will form me into the person He created me to be.
Probably the same thing ... would be interesting to hear how other describe their belief.
PS Are you getting my emails. My system isn't returning mail. I try over and over. Even try by cutting and pasting into new mail created on people's profile page.

Often I dismiss my dreams as oddities. I might think a few might be good springboards for novels but nothing much. Of course I'm trying to change that, but it's been more than a month since I last journaled a dream down. I have had fragments, but they died away before I could write them down.
And the Second: Who is really speaking when you write? Who is really doing the creating when you create?
I know some here will think I'm off my rocker, but oh well here it goes. This really spoke to me in many ways. Years ago I wrote some things that came to me quickly. I would see the images in my head like a movie and hear the words in my head as I wrote them. Okay, that sounds pretty odd, but let me add to this.. these were the times that my writing was much different than the times this scenario did not play out. A friend described it as "not my writing"
I'm not sure what that exactly means, but it was almost like someone or something was dictating the writing to me. I since have found one other person in the past that could relate to this very experience. She and I took to referring to it as the "whispering"

I am taking the words "spirit" and "soul" to mean this ~ Your spirit being your spiritual connection to God, your Maker. Your soul being your personality and essence. What is unearthed being that which is already there within your soul. What unfolds is what the Spirit of the Lord reveals to you. God the Master Revelator works in many ways . . . through all that surrounds us, but most directly through our spirit connection.

Jen ~ DREAMS are a "gift" from God ~ when we tune in and stay connected to our Source. We receive from our Source. The vine . . . ah ~ The True Vine.
[Jen ~ Take time to read Genesis Chapter 40 ~ Specifically 40:8-23 ~ It is about Joseph (who was a Dreamer of Dreams and a Dream Interpreter) being sought out, for the butler and baker of Pharaoh, King of Egypt had both dreamed a dream in one night ~ and they were sad. They could not find an interpretation for the dreams. So they sought out Joseph. And Joseph told them, "Do not interpretations belong to God?" Joseph proceeded to interpret their dreams.] -- their fragments of dreams.
I commented back to you on this and to Linda K. that you were relaying "pieces of a DREAM", and I gave an example of one of my DREAMS that was a two-part DREAM that was in effect, "pieces of a DREAM", because neither part was complete. Yet still, the pieces were and are important to take note of. Pieces of DREAMS are like puzzle pieces, and when you make a note of them (no matter how fragmented), you'll find that they will come together to enlighten you. So, it is worthy of a write-down ~ or a DREAM Journal Notation.

I want to point out to you another Scripture . . .
1 Kings 19:12 ~ KJV
And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.
That still small voice or, as you have been referring to it as the whispering" is worthy of of your attention.
Read the whole of Chapter 19 of 1st Kings in the Bible, and meditate on "the still small voice". You can go on line and read it at www.bible.com.
Keeping in mind that the Scribes and Psalmists were not writing in and of themselves, but were writing from "the still small voice".
