OK. I've been with computers since 1963 when I learned to program an IBM 7072 in Fortran II.
I'm still involved as a systems/network administrator.
Voice recognition (star trek stuff) has always been a goal.
I attempted to order something today for my wife that I saw on television...their voice recognition softare absolutely sucks, and their keypad recognition sucks.
It took 5 time of entering my CC # before they understood it.
OK. Order placed.
Next, the computer insisted in bombarding me with 5 more ads...I just wanted to order the one thing. I will NEVER order from this company again, because there is no respect for the customer. This is all Bushian arm twisting advertising. I wanted the one product, but nothing else.

Bush is a terrible President and Clinton was not much better.
We haven't had a great President in this country since the dumbing down of our population way back in the 60s. There are just not enough voters in this country anymore who research the issues in order to vote for the right person for the job. These 'dumbed down' Americans vote for a candidate because they like their smile, their personality, that he or she is black, a woman, a Democrat, a Republican. This is why we keeping electing idiots.
Walker have you use the voice recognition softare on Vista? I am looking for a good one. If you have any suggestions please pass them on. I featured this in YadaYadaYada today. Thanks for posting.
Especially when you get a look at the source code...
