Capture the colors of a rainbow
Mix in soil, sweat, and smiles
Stir in a cup of sunlight from heaven
and sprinkle it all with the dew of the night
to make the lovelight in your Mom's eyes glow.

This two day activity was a collaboration between lena lemieux and elizabeth e. Lena provided all the materials as well as the patience to sow love in our classroom. I only took the pictures.

On a daily basis it seems I tell Lena that she would make a great Early Childhood educator...not only does she have the heart...she also has the ability to treat each child as an individual and listen to their hearts. She is incredibly organized and is able to anticipate how to keep the lesson flowing and the children's attention engaged...which is no small matter.
