Gone Fishing-With My Grandson

I recently had the honor of taking Jordyn, my four year old grandson, on his very first fishing adventure. I was a little nervous taking him because he can be a little bundle of extreme energy. Fishing is not something I know much about, so thankfully my boyfriend Tom(known as Poppy to Jordyn), was thrilled about this adventure. I figured Poppy could teach Jordyn how to fish while I took pictures and videos. I have 4 videos with different clips of our day. If you would like to see them, please click on the following links.

My biggest fear was that Jordyn would end up falling in the water, so we picked a spot where the water was shallow. It was a beautiful spot. Perfect for a first time fisherman. Poppy set up Jordyn's pole and we were ready for some fishing.























Don't they look so cute together. I think they are going to be great fishing buddies.
One of Jordyn's first catches was a stick. He seemed to think that was very funny, so I took a picture of it. But he also caught many fish. I lost count but we are guessing he caught about 10 fish. He even caught a bullhead.
















Poppy and I managed to catch a few fish too but not as many as Jordyn did. I caught two bullheads and I was very proud of that. I usually don't catch much fish and usually only sunfish. Poppy didn't catch many because he was busy helping Jordyn. Even when Poppy got a fish, he let Jordyn reel it in. These are some of our fish.







Don't I looked thrilled? LOL. I thought the fish was going to come at me. He was flopping around like crazy.








I had such a good time. Jordyn and Poppy did too. We can't wait to do it again.
After we went fishing , we stopped for some ice cream. At the ice cream place, they have a miniature golf course. Now the boy wants to try that. (I'm sure that will be my next photo essay.)
