Starbucks Seems to Like to Buck the System

Starbucks new logo is causing some heated reactions.  The upper part of the mermaid is showing breasts and her tail is split and her tail / legs are wide open.  Now, the breasts to me are one thing.  Mermaids don't wear shirts, but since when does a mermaid have two tails?  Okay, maybe they do, but Starbucks has other issues.  The owner of Starbucks is suing Oklahoma for buying his Sonics basketball team.  He took the money and now that the team is moving from Washington to Okiahoma he says, "No fair."  He wants to undo the deal. 

Sounds to me like Starbucks is having issues.  Their coffee is so expensive, but give the devil he's do: It's good!

I got my free sample of starbucks coffee in the mail today..I gave it to my husbands niece.

Who in the world, gives a rats rearend about a stupid drawing on a coffee cup. People just have way too much time on their hands to worry about something like that. Why don't they do something about the hookers and drug dealers instead of something so stupid. They let their kids play violent video games, run in gangs and beat up classmates and put it on the internet...yet they have time to worry about this. And besides...ain't nothing like a Venti, mocha, 7 pump toffee nut, low fat, decafe, no whip, no foam, extra hot....yummy.

I don't know if you have Caribou Coffee around you, but if you do give it a try. It makes Starbuck's seem like swill. I agree with Mary Ann, Starbucks is just too expensive. The mermaid just sounds like a figment of someone's imagination.

I haven't seen the new logo, and it's small up there, so I can't see it.
I don't buy their coffee because I don't drink coffee, but if I did, I still wouldn't because I'm cheap like that.
They do have good benefits for their employees though leading me to consider trying to get a part-time job there someday when my kids are older.

I was just given a bag of legendary Peet's coffee by a friend in from Berkeley. I'd heard of Peet's before, but had never tasted any. It's GOOD stuff! Peet's was the founder of the original store in Berkeley where Starbucks branched out from. Peet wanted to stay small and homey, the Starbucks founder wanted to expand and franchise out. The rest is history.

I think the whole thing is ridiculous. We have better things to do than worry about an icon, but it does make one wonder if the folks at Starbucks are looking for enemies. Here in Oklahoma many people are boycotting them. I boycott them because I just plain old drink Maxwell House.

I have Starbucks often, it is near my house. I noticed the color change on the cup, but didn't even look at the logo.

I just tried their coffee last week, and it was awful! I'll stick W/ Dunkin Donuts. Better tasting, and easier on the wallet.

i am a kona drinker so you know I dont like starbucks coffee. Its bitter/harsh lacks a smooth bouquet
