Brookgreen Garden's - Repost for Summerpics

 The last of the photos from Brookgreen Gardens.

 Koi in the pond:

A pretty black duct of some sort.

A gray duck.

Some Sheep.

Bulls

A little useful information.

Barn Owl

Great Horned Owl

Otter

I took a lot of photos while at the otter's area but they would dive underwater to play and show off every time I snapped a photo.  They are building a new otter exhibit and I hope to get a lot of good photos when they are finished.

Wild Turkey

So this is the end.  I can now put all my photos onto a CD and look back on them whenever I need to relax and remember what a great place this was to visit.  I'll be going back again I'm sure, but it sure is nice to have photos.

I'll leave you with this smiling face.  It was my favorite animal photo from the group.

Another great photo essay. I love the owls. I got to touch one of those great horned owls once at a nature preserve. They're a lot smaller than you would think. That's all feathers that make them look so large.

A beautiful photo essay. Just a touch of humor: I know that you didn't mean "pretty black duct" but at first it sent my mind puzzling a bit, especially since the duck was small and not that easy to notice at first. Thanks for the laugh (and for the lovely garden).

I love the textured look of Owls' feathers... one species can look as smooth as glass and others look like moving tree bark! I really enjoy your photo essays.

What a wonderful photo essay.
I enjoyed all the information about the injured owl even breeding and having the babies released into the wild. Thank you for taking me along on a really cool exhibit. I especially liked the owls.

Nana, these are beautiful pictures, and I am especially intrigued by the picture of the sheep. My son takes a lot of pictures of them, a place around here keeps them on a preserve for NYS, and I always notice they look right into the camera, I think they are more hammy than pigs. Beautiful shots and love the smiling cow.

What a great group of shots.

The black crowned night herons are great birds. I was inches away from one in NY and shot a few photos of him.

You did a fantastic job on this and put a lot of time into it. I want you to know I REALLY enjoyed it.
I loved the owls too. When I was in Leadership ( Woodbadge) trainning for the Boy Scouts our Troop was the Horny Owls. Owls were our icon.
And I like the Koi pond. I always wanted one.
