Energy Drinks and Health Risks
Energy drinks are becoming a popular alternative for people who are looking to give themselves an energy boost, and as a result, more people are turning to monster energy drinks, rockstar energy drinks and red bull energy drinks for example in order to take advantage of a number of the ingredients that these drinks are known for.
Most of these energy drinks contain caffeine, Taurine and an ingredient called glucuronolactone. These energy drinks are also known for containing high levels of sugar. Their main purpose is to supply stimulation both mentally and physically for a specific period of time, and they became popular as a means of helping people to deal with strenuous periods of physical activity as well as to quench thirst.
However, it is becoming apparently that there is a correlation between energy drinks and health risks that needs to be addressed.
Unfortunately, energy drinks and health risks work hand in hand. Energy drinks are not actually capable of hydrating the body, but instead they often cause problems associated with dehydration instead.
But there is a lot more to energy drinks that cause them to lead to health issues. Energy drinks may not pose serious health risks, but there is still a right way and a wrong way to consume them and this will have an affect on whether or not they are healthy for you.
A high majority of the people drinking red bull or monster energy drinks are adolescents and teenagers that are looking for the boost in caffeine without realizing that it can cause panic attacks, cardiac arrhythmias, stomach problems, anxiety and many other health risks. Caffeine has also been known to hide the symptoms associated with fatigue, which is dangerous in and of its self.
It has become common for fans of these energy drinks to combine them with alcohol, which can have dire results and is an excellent example of drinking these energy drinks incorrectly. Alcohol is a depressant, and energy drinks are a stimulant, and when you combine the two together, the results are not pretty.
Mixing alcohol and energy drinks together has a whole new set of health risks, including heart irregularities, nausea, vomiting and electrolyte disturbances. The correlation between energy drinks and health risks goes further than just the health risks associated with caffeine abuse, however.
Energy drinks may not be dangerous when used correctly, but because these drinks are so easily misused, there is a big connection between energy drinks and health risks.
There are a number of alternatives to traditional energy drinks, as new companies are looking for ways to create similar drinks with less potential health risks attached to them.
For example, two popular energy drink alternatives that are currently on the market are known as Monavie, and Purple.
Purple contains seven all natural healthy antioxidant juces including Aai, Black Cherry, Black Currant, Blueberry, Cranberry and Pomegranate. When these antioxidants work in combination with one another, they create what is referred to as the cascade effect, and there is no sugar and no additional chemicals in this antioxidant-rich energy drink making it a much healthier alternative to the energy drinks that Monster, Red Bull and other energy drink companies provide.
I have tried many of these health drinks and this one has them all beat for taste. I know that GNC stores carry Purple but rather than me list all of the locations here you can just go visit www.drinkpurple.com
I am not going to give you a link to Monavie because it is a Multi-level marketing company and the product is over priced, plus you miss the cascade effect that you get from Purple.
Helping to keep us and our families healthy.
