Cool Trees I saw in Key West

The first stop of our cruise was in Key West, FL.

We rented bikes and started off down Whitehead St toward the southernmost point. Actually, we found a cool sandal shop called Kino's and then headed off down Whitehead.

First we saw the Banyan tree....cool huh?

Then we saw this tree. I have no idea what kind of tree it is, but I thought it was cool.

On Duval St., we saw these trees...

The funny looking tree in the street....

It looks like a Poinciana - they have large seed pods - I think there are some in your picture. Around about July they start to get these wonderful red flowers on them and are gorgeous. Also known as Flame Trees or Fran-Boyan in Spanish, or Flamboyants I believe. Many of them grow quite tall.
