Null hyphothesis

two people

met somewhere in their life

they don't remember when

it doesn't matter

they get to know each other better

even if they don't want to

because not wanting to

would only leave them not enjoying the process

as time ticks and shadows move from west to east

the get closer

and then closer, and closer

so close that the only thing they can do

is to become one

and one they became

breathing in the same ribcage

moving in the same pelvis

thinking in the same skull

it disagrees with logic

messes with math

and shuns science

so the self-proclaimed wise men

find ways to explain it

but in doing so

they find out it is easier

to prove a null hypothesis

to convince people

that such mystery is inexistant

that they are still two different persons

that they still can leave each other

whenever they want

hence, the birth of divorce

broken marriages

and broken families

a null hypothesis is, in itself, infidelity
