I put $35 in my SUV this morning and got a quarter of a tank.  We're leaving today for a 3-hour trip to our property up north, where we'll be until Monday.  It's going to curtail our spending on other things, like activities while we're there, food, etc... 

I get gas at the 7-11 (citgo) here in town, and you get a $.05/gallon discount if you pay at the pump with a gas card instead of using cash or a credit card at the pump.  It's sometimes a hassle to run in and get the card, but even $.05 helps!

Wow! Hope you guys have a good break this weekend. Here, I'm afraid to look at what gas is. I put $10 in the minivan the other day, and it didn't even get a quarter of a tank.

We use Speedway, because the points get us free gas cards about 3 times a year for $25 each. They occasionally will sell gift cards for cheaper than the value, too- like $50 cards for $48, or they'll sell the card with 1000 bonus points. We do that often, because the points are what gets us the free gas cards.

We have one we're due right now, but we've been holding off on it until we're in a pinch for gas money. ;)

In the North East, New York is the second highest, and I saw 3.999 the other day when getting gas. My Prius has been like a puppy, the old 2002 model is currently getting around 50MPG when it was getting more like 45MPG over the winter.

We don't even have a place around her that offers a points system or gas discount cards. Here it was $3.78 yesterday, and it's been going up every day, so who knows what it'll be today. Can anyone say, "ridiculous"?

I feel your pain. I have to go fill up later. I will post back when I get back and let you know what is cost me.
I am going to clean a house. What I make will not cover the gasoline I know.
It is a shame.

JennyBean, it is the same here, no reward programs, except WalMart, if you buy gas with one of their gift cards, you save 3cents per gallon.

I'm not sure where we are prize wise now (I stay home more often), but I go to the post office today and will make note of it then. I have been stretching a tank to almost 2 weeks lately. So I am currently sitting at a half tank now.

Our local Giant Eagle has a rewards program that offer 10 cents off per gallon for every $50 you spend in the store. My wife has gotten free tanks of gas before.

THANK GOD I telecommute. Gas here is $3.75 a gallon, and I now only drive about once a week - for our weekly trip to Sam's Club for groceries. We're even thinking about pushing that to every 10 days, if we can get our act together. And this is with a Ford Escort, that gets 35 mpg!

I use my Discover credit card to pay for gas. You can get a particular card through them, I forget what they call it, but it's on their Web site, that gives you a 5-percent rebate on any auto purchase, including gas from any station, auto parts, carwashes, etc. As I recall, there's no limit to the dollar amount.

Gas hasn't reached $4 yet around Romeo or Rochester, but I'm sure it will next week. Rochester, always about 10 cents more a gallon than in Romeo, was up to $3.95 today.

Gas isn't quite that high in Central NJ, yet. It's still no bargain. I am definitely driving less.

We are right behind you. Gas here is 3.99$. I am definately not driving unless absolutely neccessary. From what I hear, it is supposed to get higher as the summer goes on.

I am in eastern Ohio and it is rising every day, at least 5 or 10 cents. It is $3.85 this morning, but was $3.79 last night. It may stay that for a couple days but that is all. I am only driving when absolutely necessary. But I do have many dr. appts. right now so I try to make as many on the same day as possible. I heard $5.00 by Aug. 1. I can believe it. Then in October, right before the elections, Bush will get the prices lowered to about $3.00 a gollon and say "Look what good the Republicans have done", so they can stay in office. Then people are supposed to think $3.00 is a good price and the Republicans are wonderful and will be reelected.

Yesterday I went out to my sisters house for a visit and watch the gas prices, when I could see them. Starting out by me, I see $3.77 all the way upto (by her house) $3.95

Gas in the Uk is over $2 dollars a litre ...

1 UK gallon, 4.546 litres = $9.09 per gallon
