Sometimes we feel we do not have time to relax, for a little R&R. However, after a stressful day at the clinic, I find myself searching for a little R&R. I do not want the TV or radio blaring. There are even days I do not feel like opening a book (even though I love to read).
I found myself feeling this way a couple of days ago. I just wanted to relax. With gas prices what they are, I could not really afford to go anywhere (either financially or timewise). So, I went to one of my favorite places for a little R&R and a lot of beauty, my sanctuary.
After shedding my scrubs and putting on comfortable clothing (shorts and t-shirt), I stepped out the back door with Chewy Thade following closely.

Closing my eyes, I inhaled deeply. The fresh, though humid, air filled my lungs. I let the sounds of birds and squirrels take the tension from my body.
As Thade romped around playfully, I enjoyed the beauty around me.

This guy looked as if he was taking a little R&R himself.

The little garden I made by using a wheelbarrow (minus handles and wheel).

A hanging plant I had just watered:

Bluejays making a home high up in the tree:

A lonely caterpillar:

Our hummingbird feeder had dripped a little and this guy stopped by to enjoy a drink,

show off,

and offer kisses.

Although feared by many, this fellow has a beauty all his own:

A spider's artwork:

This cardinal looked as if he needed the R&R as much as I did. I'm glad he happened upon the sanctuary:

Wilma, I hope your flowers do well. I don't care much for TV, sometimes I will watch a movie (have to be in the mood for those)...but usually, I find something else to do. The cardinal picture was one of my favorite shots (poor guy). Thanks for coming by.
