Basic Ice Cream
2 cups heavy cream
2 cups whole milk
3/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
Pinch salt
Good quality chocolate, for garnish
Whisk all ingredients together until sugar dissolves. Pour into the bowl of an ice cream machine. Freeze according to the manufacturer's instructions. After the ice cream is made, transfer to an airtight container. Cover tightly and freeze until ready to serve. When ready to serve, make chocolate curls using a vegetable peeler. Serve ice cream garnished with curls.
I've had several people ask me how to make ice cream easily, so here it is. You can either dump it into an ice cream machine, or just put it in a frozen bowl(one that has been in the freezer overnight), then stir every 30 mins of so until it is frozen.
This is just a basic ice cream recipe, and you can all whatever you want to it, just like Coldstone Creamery. :)
