Dabbling - or in my case, flitting

I am in the college library... thought I would work on some course prep stuff for tomorrow evening, but can't seem to focus/keep my eyes open. So bluddy tired! Taught 6 hour class today already - hanging around til next one starts at 7. Not necessarily HERE... will maybe go off campus for awhile... but for now, not really motivated enough to GO anywhere. Ate already; that's the biggest reason why. Oh! Damn! Just remembered I meant to stop at Pizza People on the way here and order pizza or something for Ross for pick up after my class. Duh. Drove right by there. Sucks getting old! Oh well... will go back in a bit... also get coffee so that hopefully I can make it through my class.

Guess I will have to get my course stuff done tomorrow, since I'm not doing it now. Was going to be babysitting the grandkids in the afternoon but just heard that the babysitter's kid is no longer spotted so they don't need me. So I will have most of the day to fuss over tomorrow night's lesson.

And to yell at that woman from Nor-don and write very bitchy letters about her to her boss and to Revenue Canada. Lying little *****. She STILL hasn't sent out the letter that NEEDS TO GO OUT so that I can get that $15k scholarship. Everytime I talk to her she is so apologetic and promises to .... but then she never does it. *****  She said it could be done within days... here it is 2 weeks later and IT IS NOT DONE!!!!!!!!  I still have 2 weeks... but it has to get through 3 more departments after this ***** does HER FREAKING JOB.

To add to my stress about that whole deal, I could not find the papers that have ALL THE NUMBERS AND NAMES of everyone I talked to about it... didn't really have time to do a thorough search this morning though, and I think I might know where they ended up ... surely I would not have been as STOOPID as to throw out 2 pieces of paper re: $15k!!!!!!!!!!!!     As I was driving to work this morning, I remember 'clearing my desk' before our company showed up ...by picking up a pile of stuff including my course materials and some papers and so on, and putting them into a box and shoving them under my desk. I'm guessing that the 2 papers I need are in there... but it is aggravating me that I won't get home until almost 11 tonight to find out. Oh well...that's what I get for being so freaking disorganized.

Today's class was "Intro to Access" and I may have shot myself in the foot somewhat with it by teaching them rather too much .... more than I was supposed to cover today by um.... well, a fair bit. Just doesn't seem worth it to waste people's time going super slow or going over things they obviously had mastered already ...so since they'd all mastered the learning objectives for the day by lunch time, I covered some extra stuff along with the review we did in the afternoon. The students, of course, left feeling that they got their money's worth .... but what happens in the longer view is that some will likely decided - if I give them too much - that they don't need to take all 4 sessions... and that would wind up costing both me - and the College - $$.

People are so flipping rude sometimes! It seems like every time I come in here, there are students with not enough brains to turn down their cell phones. Last time it was someone text messaging CONSTANTLY.... who needs a loud chime every time a text message comes through? It was SO on my nerves. Today it seems like a very bad orchestra or something in here... so many rings, so many ringtones. Conductor must be drunk - the timing is atrocious.

Anyway .... got a few things to print for class tonight and then I shall go back to the plaza and order a pizza, I guess. Or I could just call. But jess has my cell phone, and I need coffee anyway.
