I received an email on Monday telling me that the bird bath I had ordered for my latest garden flowerbed was delayed and wouldn't arrive till 5/19. So Imagine my surprise when I received a ship notice this morning and FedEx brought the bird bath this afternoon. Oh well, I'm not complaining cause it's here!
Also on Monday, my latest gift card from Home Depot arrived. I went and spent it yesterday afternoon. I picked up a purple clematis with trellis, 2 pink begonias, 1 orange cosmo, 2 designer daisy plants and 3 gazanias.
Big Orange finally got another shipment with gazanias and some of the plants had pink and maroon blooms. I had been waiting on those for a few weeks.
I planted everything but the clematis yesterday evening and setup the bird bath a little while ago. So here are some updated photos.

Above is the bird bath installed and filled. The two light pink begonia plants were added here also. I can add 3 to 4 more plants or flowers in this bed before I finish it off with mulch.

One of three small gazania plants I purchased and planted in the back diveway bed shown below.

This bed is now done with plantings and I'll mulch it as soon as I decide what color I want. The wholesale pond store has 4 different colors of mulch - red, light tan, dark brown and black. I'm prettry sure I'll go with the dark brown.
We're expecting rain storms here tonight and tomorrow. So the photos are kind of dark because it was mostly cloudy today.

I used the daisies and cosmos in another spare pot that was among those cluttered in the garage. I placed this one on the right side of the driveway in an area that gets a lot of sun.
The last thing I did yesterday afternoon was put on gloves, a long sleeve shirt and boots and hit part of the yard with Roundup again. There was a bunch of poison ivy near our air conditioning units on the side of the house and I wanted to get that treated. Knock on wood, but no hives this time.
My roommate is being entirely too lazy about finishing up the killing of the english ivy jungle (our backyard). So it looks like if I want it done, I'll have to do it. I may be tackling that on Sunday.
What do you think of the updates?

The birdbath is very pretty. I saw a neat looking one at Cracker Barrel yesterday and thought of you waiting for the arrival of yours. I'm glad to see it finally came.

Patricia, I don't live in the woods, but the lots in my subdivision are wooded, which is rare these days.
I got another $25 home depot the other day yay!
Nice bird bath - now we need pics of the birds visiting.:)
What a wonderful job of your garden!
Its Beautiful
Thanks for sharing !!!
My Dad used to build them, years ago, but his were different: he made them in hollows in the ground if I remember correctly, and poured concrete in, smoothing it out. Each one was different - he dug different shapes. Some got finished with tile - whatever folks wanted I guess...
Anyway, your garden is looking great!
thank you for all your nice comments...
