How do you encourage your kids to eat healthy food? Around here, we use a few different techniques.
Dressing it up or making it fun always works wonders. Sprinkles on oatmeal, raisins on celery, food that looks like faces, all these things help our kids eat a little bit better.

For our son, it especially helps to tell him that he'll get big muscles by eating his veggies and meat. He'll even eat spinach with that encouragement!
We also do not so exciting things, such as presenting foods over and over until they eat them, requiring them to try three bites of everything, and modeling healthy eating ourselves. We're also trying a garden this year to encourage them to eat what we grow.

Such as putting peanutbutter on celery than places rasins on top..saying they are ants on a log.
Taking have a slice of wheat bread cut diagolly. add butter or peanutbutter, add cherry for nose, add raisins or olives for eyes, and add two stick pretzeks for antlers......looks like areindeer
Take a soft taco shell..add peanutbutter, cheese and very small diced apples, wrapping it and serving...
There are all kinds of things like this I have done through my childrens childhood to make healthy food fun to eat.
My youngest has asked me to make carmel covered apples ona stick the other day..so yes my kids do eat and ask for the healthy stuff.
We put bananas (which he loved) in his cereals. We also used your try it!
He eats pretty healthy most of the time now that hes an adult of 30.
If you are looking for more kid friendly recipes..let me know and I will help you out. The kid friendly recipes seem to work well on my kids. I think some take a little effort to create. But better than trying to hide the veggies in the meals that the kids will find and hate.
As for broccoli and califlower (spelled wrong) add cheese or cheese sauce for a different taste...My kids always and still call broccoli little trees.
It doesn't hurt that I let them splurge every now and then.
