You are probably wondering what this is all about. What is Life's Election? Who are we voting for an against? What is Heather talking about? Is she for Hillary, McCain or Obama? Is this about US politics?
What could Life's election be about?
Here's the story - Two men are fighting. Each say they are greater than the other. One man is unable to topple the other off of the hilltop. When he lands on the ground he vows to win another way and decides to begin a different contest. He leaves the hill and vows to make everyone in town hate the other man by doing awful things and having a whisper campaign that it is the man on top of the hills fault. He tries as much as he can to campaign to turn everyone against his enemy.
The man on the hill sends his friends out over the town to share his love for everyone. His friends are mocked and ridiculed and some are killed. He even sends his own son who speaks of his love and through whom miracles occur. The people who listened to the other man's rumor (the one who left the hill) even mock, ridicule, tormented, tortured and kill the son.
Friends of the man on the hill continue to try to let all the people know the truth but are mocked and ridiculed and some are killed. They know this may happen but their love and devotion is so strong they know that the people who are being fooled will all die forever if they don't know the truth. So they many times risk all to bring everyone's attention to the man who is a liar, a thief and who is a destoryer.
Where is this story connected to Life's Election? Well, like the candidates of our current presidential election send out people to witness to their being the best candidate and "spread the word" to get people to vote for them, so are the supporters of God and Satan. They have picked their candidate and spend their lives trying to get others to make their choice, elect their candidate.
Who will you chose? Who is your candidate?
(By the way, the election determines who gets your soul - the victor over the life/death contest was won by the son) The man on top of the hill created everything, is omnipotent, omnipresent and is omniscient. He is untoppable and unstoppable but wants our hearts to chose him and the gift of his son Jesus victory so we can be with him on the hill -have eternal life with him in paradise. (Heaven)

Here is the great truth that, only when we see things in the light of God, do we see things as they are. It is only when we see things in the light of God that we see what things are really important, and what things are not. These things seem vastly important, things like ambition, and prestige, and money and gain, lose all their value and importance when they are seen in the light of God. Pleasures and habits and social customs which seem permissible enough, are seen for the dangerous things they are when they are seen in the light of God. Things which seem evils, hardship, toil, discipline, unpopularity, even persecution, are seen in their glory when they are seen in the light of God.
