The Things Moms Do

That's cute. That certainly is what mothers do. ^_^ They do just about everything in my family, besides that, too. :P

Moms do a lot that we wouldn't normally do for someone else. Sharing is a big thing for me. I'm always sharing my food or something.

That's a fib. She would never be caught short. When she planned a dinner it was with the thought, "Just in case 7th Calvary happens by."

All so true. Patty, I don't think I remember one single time when my mom was sick. Oh, but I remember Dad being sick. He was pitiful.

Moms buy for the kids, even luxuries, before they buy anything for themselves (even necessities).

Moms (and dads) drive their kids to endless activities.

Moms take care of and clean up after their kids pets--and keep the pets when the kids grow up and abandon them.

A very good description of mothers with giving and loving hearts. That IS what good mothers do.

Moms let their kids friends hang out at their house.

Moms buy music CDs for their kids that they themselves can't stand.

Moms grin and bear it when their kids get piercings and tattoos.

Absolutely! And mothers who are thousands of miles away and can't make it to your bedside when you are hospitalized will call you every single day for an update and to cheer you.

I never realized what moms go thru till i got prego... i'm 36 weeks today, and i've learned that you do give some things up just for the sake of your kid... and then i finally started thinking, remembering back to everything i did to my mom, and i worry... lol. And as for my mom, she does too much for me. like 2 mornings ago she had came in from work and was about to pee and forgot to lock the door, i burst in needing to throw up and pee, and she quickly runs out so i could, but i ended up doing both right before i got to the toilet and trashcan, so it got on the floor as well as the right things... lol. And being a good mommy, while i was doing all this she just went outside and peed in a bucket (we live out in the country, 15 acres so no one can see anyways), and then when i got thru she cleaned it all up and told me to go lay back down :)

Another thing my mom does for me is no matter how tired or sick she is, she still makes sure i'm ok if i'm sick, she could be dead tired and out of it and still take me up to the doc, or bring me crackers and stuff... i'm her baby... lol. yes, THE baby, and now i'm her baby having a baby! lol.
