yes it's true. i never went to a prom. i didn't care too. i was too punk or cool or uncool and managed to dodge that bullet every time. my younger sisters on the other hand, made all of them and then some! (i think kara went to 5!!) but i never went to a prom. well, sort of, i once went to a "punk rock prom" in san francisco at a record store-venue called epicenter. it was quite a sight! but still, i didn't dress up and some how didn't even look punk at the same time. oh well.
back in 2004 i wrote a song with my band 'the kiss ups' called 'prom disaster eyes'. in it i capture all the weird dynamics that i got from all those 80s prom movies and the stories i have heard over the years. (if you care to hear it visit myspace.com/thekissups.)
