If you had to name the book from your childhood that had the biggest influence on you, what book would it be?

Let your kids/grandkids SEE you read if you want THEM to..
I think it was the Ramona Quimby series that got me started. That first book I read she was the same age as me, and if I remember right, she was starting a new school same as I was.
I read every book in the series after that.
The lesson I took away from it is that your imagination is your ticket into and out of any situation. So far, so good. ;)
Winnie the Pooh & House at Pooh Corner, the Freddy the Pig series by Walter R Brooks, and Robert Heinlein's juvenile science fiction.
Since I was a boy, I read the Henry Huggins books and didn't read Ramona Quimby till I read them to our daughter.
I started me love affair with books late in my
live, but If I can dream with a childhood of
Sunday afternoon's 1 or 2 hour reading frenzies I will
say Dr. Seuss' "The Pale Green Pants" and "Horton hears a who"
