Yes, I did a little planting today. You don't think a bad case of hives could keep me away for too long now do you? I did stay away from the Roundup, eventhough I am itching to get back to treating the rest of the yard (no pun intended). Maybe I can get my roommate to do it later today.
The first few photos are flowers and decor I added today. The last two are from last week, but I never took any photos of them.

Since I was at the Home Depot, I thought why not get just one more ceramic mushroom, ha ha. This makes 10 that I have. I think this one looks real.

I added two moss rose plants to the back driveway side bed.

This is a medium size pot that is part of the selection stored here. I put in a white and pink begonia and a dusty miller. It's placed where the sidewalk and driveway intersect, right in front of one of the butterfly garden stakes.

This flowerbox style pot is new. I put a white pentunia and two purple flowers along side it. I forget what the purple stuff is and I already tossed the stakes away. I've planted the stuff before and it usually does pretty well.

I found these at a place called The Flashy Frog. They were only $4 so I grabbed this one and another that is a star. This one is in the large pot that once was on the back deck. The star (which I have not shown) is staked by my turtle.

Every Buffett fan has to have something Jimmy-related. I call this "boat drink art." It is staked in the large pot I planted last time and placed in the front of our main pine straw island. It's a medium sized garden stake.
Hope you like the latest additions.

Barbara, I love them too. I never had them before a month ago either. I think I have enough though. They are great accents. I'm really enjoying all the garden art finds this year. It's amazing what normal rainfall does for my yard work drive and ambition. Last year it was so depressing to watch it all die cause of no rain and a 100% outdoor watering ban.
Joanne, the arrival date is tentative for 5/14. I'm still hopeful it will come early - like tomorrow. I can't wait to get that placed!
Yes Chuck, they were severe and dumped an enormous amount of rain, but I think the really bad stuff was in the southern part of the state. My dog was still a wreck of course.

Love the Parrot Head stake - very cool.
Love all the mushrooms and do I ever have a pic for you. When we went to the Green Thumb festival a couple of weeks ago there was an artist who did ceramic mushrooms. I'm guessing the price was like ten times what they sell for at HD.
I took a pic of her creations which will be part of my essay if I ever get 'round to it. Hopefully this week.
I added some more to my garden yesterday as well. Got the whole yard cleaned up too. Everything looks so great. I just need to find a way to sit outside and enjoy it. I am saving up for another card. We'll see.
Great post!
