i love coffee. this is not a statement i take lightly. i love it. the smell, the taste. my favorite part of the first cup in the morning is when you drink it black and you take that first yummy gulp and you feel the warmth slide down your insides into your empty stomach. i make mine strong so when it hits my stomach its almost like a burning sensation. i know sounds gross and disturbing but i love it. i order coffee with every meal, no matter what i am eating. i drink coffee all day long and into the night. i rarely ever drink anything else.
it is 1:42 am and i want to make some coffee but i don't have any already ground. i only have beans and as of this moment, my coffee bean grinder has stopped working. i have no way to make coffee. i really want a cup. the sad truth is i'm thinking of going out right now to go by a coffee grinder, the joys of a 24/7 walmart.
i treated that grinder very well. i always cleaned it out, especially between flavored and regular so as not to contaminate the two. i unplugged it when i was done(we loose power a lot in hawaii) so it would not surge. i kept it a safe distance from all water sources or anything that could spill on it. it has never been dropped, hit, banged around, etc.
so why i ask will it not work for me now?

for some coffee fun!!!
Can you take it apart and look inside? Or you could just beat it mercilessly until the jam clears or blows apart. As an engineer, I find that blowing things up in an attempt to fix them is an excellent release of frustration, especially if I haven't had my morning coffee!
I don't know how long a coffee grinder lasts as I don't
drink coffee. If you have had it for several years it may
have served you well!! Longgivety on these things, iffy?
I'm running behind on comments and I'm sorry it took a day or so to get back to you!
Have a great gather day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Since this article is now a week old, I'm sure you have replaced the offending appliance and downed 50+ cups of coffee since you wrote it.
My day is just like yours... coffee all day and I have even taken a nice fresh cup of steaming brew to bed with me.
I enjoyed your well-written article. You convincingly describe the needs of a java junkie.
