Ok, I'm driving home tonight and I see one of the dumbest things I think I've ever witnessed.
We have speed bumps in our neighborhood to slow down drivers on the single street that's a thruway. I'm approaching one of these speed bumps and I see there's an El Camino sitting by the side of the road with the hood up. "Too bad," I think as I get closer, "that sucks he broke down."
But wait...there's something sticking out from under the car...are those legs? And what's that? A wheeled cart...with tools on it?
My brain-damaged neighbor had decided to tune up his El Camino but he lacked car jacks or ramps (to say nothing of common sense), so he came up with the bright idea of using the speed bump as a makeshift auto lift.
He drove the front end of the car up on the bump so he could get underneath to change the oil and so forth...In the street. At 5:00 PM. With no chocks behind the tires or anything.
If the car rolled forward he would be injured, if it rolled backward, he would be pinned beneath.
Is this guys too stupid to live?
I give him an 8 for daredevilery, a 6 for amusing me, and a 0 for safety. Which means he has a 70% chance of being too stupid to live.

HERE'S YOUR SIGN!!!!!!! :-D
Hysterical, next time take pictures, even better video!

I wrote this article in April of 2007. It's now August, 2009 and Too Stupid to Live is still at it. Coming home from the grocery story last night, I see the same car with the two left tires popped up on the curb. I'm thinking "crappy parking job dude" but I'm wrong. As I get nearer I see the tool cart stationed at the front of the car. And yes, the greasemonkey exiting the house's garage is the same guy. Too Stupid to Live wipes his hands on a rag, gets down on a knee and proceeds to worm underneath the car. Again, no proper ramps or jacks, no chocks, no safety precautions at all.
I'm taking bets on when Too Stupid To Live will be permanently removed from the gene pool.
Did I mention the car was parked going the wrong way?
