Proud of myself today.
My back hurted.
I was looking for a lost receipt for my orthotics... went out to look in the car... leaned over and reached for papers and books on the floor and OUCH! My back went into total spasm.
It HURTED!
I went over to Diane's.... carried babies.
It HURTED.
And still, I went out for my walk this evening.
I detoured into town after I left Diane's... went to Stuff-Mart and bought bubbles for the bubble machine, green tea for Ross, and muscle relaxants for me.
Came home and took a couple - and then after about 20 minutes, walked up to meet Ross in spite of the fact that my back still hurt.
By the time I got to the corner, where Suey and the totem pole are, the pills were starting to kick in.
I sometimes - if I'm having a bad breathing/pain day - stop at the bridge and look for fish ...aka as resting .... but today I snapped a couple of pictures and moved on.

I kept going.
I did not make it all the way to the store.
But I made it further than I have any other day since I started walking again.
Tomorrow I will leave earlier.
But for today, I made it further than before, even though my back hurt like a son of a ***** and it would have been SO easy to just not even go.
Ross commented, on the way back, that I was walking faster today .... I was in a hurry ... to get home before my legs gave out...
Sometimes muscle relaxants make one too relaxed, I think.
Anyone know what this is? I don't...and it's bugging me.

My legs were starting to feel like jello.
but I did it.
I made it two thirds of the way to the store.

And I made it home again.
I did good.

The stuff in the muscle relaxant relaxes your nervous system as well. that's why you get jello legs and jello brain
they are just there.
I looked VERY different.
for now I'm going to go pour the jello into bed though ... can't even sit up straight any more
Congrats, Flit, just know when you need to stop.
Hope your pain goes aways soon.
