I just emailed a zillion California libraries

It took me all day, all this time, and I hope few of them put The Joan Crawford Murders on their shelves for everybody to read.  One library did email me back already to say they would get it, and even added that they were also going to get Hollywood Sinners, too (and I hadn't even asked them to get that one).  They really do some quick online research on books and authors before they decide to get a certain title.

So this is how you market your book? Is that what you're doing? Have you considered trying to get it reviewed in Library Journal or Publisher's Weekly or some other trade magazine? Lots of libraries prefer to get books with reviews, so they have backup (if ever needed when a book is challenged) as to why they spent taxpayers' money on a particular title.

When a friend in Idaho asked their library to buy my book they said, "We trying not to focus on anything of a negative nature and make very few if any purchases falling within that category"...lol!

I wonder how they feel about The Great Depression, WWI, WWII, Vietnam, 9/11, etc.

I think you're two books are a shoe in for Idaho Peter!

If you are on the C's don't forget the entire California State University Library System! Also, please try the San Bernardino Public Library (but that will take you awhile to get down there....) Good luck!
