Recently, "The Monitor", a local paper offered the opportunity to its readers to write a blog and have it made available through their online version of its publication, I jumped at the chance and now have my own blog on line, which I contribute to on a regular basis.
As usual, I write about everything under the sun, but in this case, I do try to limit myself to things that deal with local issues and concerns. The Monitor services the Rio Grande Valley, in the southernmost region of Texas, and its many communities, with its circulation consisting of and estimated 41,000 daily readers.
Since, I started posting on my blog, several of my postings and articles have been featured and a few have even been printed on the Monitor's printed format. It feels good to see my thoughts and views in print; even if is just in the local paper.
Perhaps, this can lead to something bigger.
