I'am a major Johnny Depp fan and yet again i was not let down I loved this movie... and I love that he sings in this movie with a very good voice i'd say. Yet again it just makes me know how perfect Johnny really is..lol. Anyways this was about a man who lost his sweet wife and child and took out revenge, never had heard of this tale before now but its awesome... i give it 2 thumbs up and 4 1/2 stars not 5 cuz i think if they would've used blood like in horrors instead of stage blood it would've been better. But the story line is awesome don't care for how it ends but won't tell u the ending. Check out this movie and the 2 disc set explains alot of how the movies made...

I hate Johnny Depp and was so sure he was going to ruin this classic but I have to give it to him ... He did a wonderful job!

I am a huge Johnny Depp fan but did not care for the movie. I liked the story but too
much blood. Although I was warned about the blood.

It doesn't change my opinion about Johnny Depp. He can do anything. He was even "hot" to watch with all the make-up!

I love Tim Burton and Johnny but it was too predictable for me not to mention to bloody and graphic.

I wish they would have done less blood and a bit more character development.

I'm not a huge Depp fan .. but I like him. In certain movies I love him, like PotC and Edward Scissorhands, Benny & Joon, Gilbert Grape..and I loved him in jumpstreet, but sometimes he's a little too good at being creepy LOL I only kinda know the story of Sweeney Todd, but I know it's a bloody one, which I'm not usually into, but the movie looks like a good one.. I love Tim Burton.. and with Helena Bonham Carter and Johnny Depp..and Alan Rickman in it.. I figured this would be a good one.

Nice review. I like Depp but I don't plan on seeing this movie. I've seen an earlier televised version so I'm familiar with the story line.

I loved this movie. I think they used stage blood, because it was a musical and wanted it to appear if it was done on a stage.
