Hello My Gather Friends!

I'm sorry it's taken me so long to write. The last week has been crazy busy, and I'd hoped to know exactly what was going on before I wrote to you. However, things are still up in the air, and I figured I really had to write to you and let you know how grateful I am for the support you gave me during the contest.

As I'm sure you know, it was a very hard fought battle, back and forth right until the end. Though I'm glad to have won, I wish all five of us could have. We got to know each other during our time in NYC, and all of us are now good friends. And that's not to mention the hundreds of other entrants who didn't make it to the final round. I listened to a lot of your music (not all of it...sorry!), and there was a ton of talent. I hope everyone keeps it up, and feel free to send me links of whatever you're doing.

Just to let you know, the deal with Decca is still being worked out. I know I'll be recording a 5-song EP at some point in the next few months, but that's ALL I know. I got to meet here in LA with Dave Novik, VP of A&R for Decca Records, which was fantastic. We ate at a hot dog joint built inside a train car. Crazy.
