Field trip with my daughter!

Well we went to Incedible Pizza for my daughters field trip. She got all her AR points so they paid for her to go. They gave all the kids a game card with 7.00 on it. Found out when we got there that if you out 5.00 extra on the card they wil give the child an extra 5.00. So most of the kids had extra money and ended up with $17.00 What a deal! Plus they got to eat all the pizza and ice cream and deserts they wanted and let me tell ya them kids go wild when they can eat and waste like that.. Hali spent most of her time on the motor cycle, go carts and bumper cars.. They get tickets for many of the small games they play but she only ended up with 23 since she did not play games that gave them.. She was completely satisfied with that though!

Wow, when I was in school our field trips were always educational, boring but we still loved getting out of class. I would've loved a trip like this though!

Lynne.. Its for first grade up to 6th grade. Its called AR reading (advanced reading) They read certain books that are worth points and then take a test on the computer asking questions about what they read.. Each book is about 1/2 point to 1 point. The books she reads are anyways.. last year when she was in first grade she was reading the Junie B Jones books which are small chapter books and she only got 1 point for each one. So they do ALOT of reading!

What a great time! (just think, before too long, it will be field trips for two!)

Here, AR champs get cash. My niece figured this out in the first grade. Her strategy is always to read the thicker books because you get more points.

J wants me to go to his school with him next Friday for his Field Day. :-)

It's so cool that right now he WANTS me around. I know in a few years it will be the total opposite...

Very true Lisa.. I love going to my daughters fied day with her too! I think hers is Monday but I dont think I iwll make it this eyar since I have the 2 boys and am so big.. not sure I would get around very well! ;) well I hope you can make it and have a great time with him! Dont forget your camera.. "Making Memories" is what its about :)

Now this is a fun field trip not those boring ones we took in school to the science fair!! LOL We never got pizza either, - always a 'brown paper bag' lunch, -- which now this was back in the seventies!!!!! (HeeHee)

Looks like everyone had a blast! I wish that our school and district haven't changed all their rules. Now the kids only get to go to one field trip a year and it can't be a food one. When my oldest son was in first grade, they went to a pizza place and to the animal museum but now that my middle son is in first grade, they only got to do the museum one.
