Today is my one year anniversary here on Gather. I am happy to say that I have really enjoyed my time here and have made many new friends. I never thought that I would have ever met as many interesting people and learned so many new things.
I wanted to say that I have been through a lot in my personal life in the past year and many of you who know me and that have taken the time out to get to know me better know this. I want to say "Thank You" to all of my special friends who have been there with me through thick and thin and through illness and in health. Almost like being married, ;)
So many of you have reached out to me, called me, sent flowers, sent cards, countless emails through my illnesses and hospitalizations. Not to mention all of you who have prayed for me and my Parents through their illnesses.
I now know why so many have been on Gather as long as they have because it truly is a family here. We all have our good days and our bad days and there is usually someone who is feeling the same way who can help you through your ill feelings or depression or losses or share in your joys.
I have enjoyed meeting your children, your pets, your gardens, your shoes, your vacation spots, and YOU. I have enjoyed reading your short stories, your poetry, your rants and your raves. I have enjoyed meaningful discussions and even have enjoyed several heated discussions a time or two. I have enjoyed your artwork, your love stories, your reviews on books, movies and music. I have enjoyed reading about your religion about your political views and through it all I know that I may not agree on everything that you say or should comment on or even write about, but for now lets just say that I have enjoyed it all and will continue to agree to disagree.
Thank you to all of you who I have grown to know and to love and to those who I have yet to get to know.
I love GATHER!! Happy one year anniversary to ME!!

Typical of me as of late, well, there's the word! Lots of mental weirdness and computer too, but excuses don't cut it. Glad I'm here, very glad we "met". 1 year Gatherversary, way cool, time do fly and I can't say how glad I am you are here and that I found you!! I remember the day and the article, lol. Believe titled simply, Fellatio, how could I resist?! ;-} So happy to have found there was another aboard and I didn't need to hide. You showed me that day, not only was it okay to be me, but that you very much liked my contributions rather than shoo away this sicko that walked in the door as I had come to expect and didn't care anymore. Never dreamed a social website, non adult anyway (nudge, nudge aff, wink, wink!) would have me so absorbed and caring deeply for some of the people I have found. A wonderfully mysterious thing! Hope that you just plain dig your heels (spiked of course) in and have many more, just might make the one after myself!

I sincerely appreciate you and am very happy that we have had the discussions that we have had. They have been a lot of fun! I can only plan on doing more of "those" again soon.
