My Husband had a rough day fishing

My Husband went fishing Saturday for his free trip, since his last trip was a flop. Refer to last article for details. They were supposed to be fishing for tog, which was good because he never caught tog before.  Well, the boat was to full to catch tog, everyone would get their lines tangled.  That wasn't good news, but they went for sea bass instead. Brian said the waves we so high, and the water was so rough, that he got sick on the way out. He has been fishing for so long and never gets sick, so this was not good.  After they were out for awhile, he felt a little better and started to fish, he caught five nice sized sea bass. We ate fish for dinner and, he spent the the afternoon resting. At least this trip wasn't a total flop.

I've never heard of "tog" before, but am glad he caught some bass anyway. Fishing in rough water can be a pain though.

Tog are tautog, also known as blackfish or slippery bass. They are EXTREMELY ugly, but really tasty because they eat little shellfish.

Thanks for all the comments, I copied this from one of my comments to say what tog are : Tog are tautog, also known as blackfish or slippery bass. They are EXTREMELY ugly, but really tasty because they eat little shellfish. I hear they are real good fish, maybe next time : )
