Plato was the reknowned Greek philosopher who taught at Athens and greatly distinguished himself by his lectures and writings.His Dialogues and his Republic are among the greatest works of the ancient era, and embody a philosophical system which has served for admiration and discussion even today.
His real name was Aristocles. He was Socrate's disciple and Aristotle's teacher.
