Tigger update ~ 5-3-08

I've had several requests asking how Tigger is doing so here is the news.

Two days before I took him in for his blood work he had started playing for the first time.  It was a joy to see.  Today he was chasing China through the house and pouncing on her!!  I think she enjoyed the vacation from his 'wrestling matches' but it is good to see him feeling good!

The panel from his blood work came back that everything was better except one of the panels that shows liver damage.  The vet said she wasn't too worried about this because 2 of the other panels show the same thing in a different way and they were both better.   She discontinued his fluid under the skin (yeah, no more poking needles in my cat!) and said come back in 2 weeks for a check up!!

He was funny the other day.  We put some new dry food down and he sniffed it, picked up a piece and then just let it fall out of his mouth.  I think he forgot how to crunch dry food!
He has been picky about what food he wants, refusing to eat part of the time which scares me.  I've bought more different kinds of cat food in the last week than I have in my whole life.  I think I've got 30 cans of cat food in the house and now he started eating the dry food!

I'm watching them all now, I don't want another cat in my house to ever stop eating and it not be noticed until they are this sick.  Not ever again.

I did ask the  vet about the green eyes and if he'd ever get his blue eyes back.  She hadn't ever seen this happen so she said she hoped so but couldn't say for sure.

The laser beam vision still works, even with green eyes!
