Lily loves tap dance almost as much as ballet, this first shot of her is in the car before we went inside for her class.
Once in the classroom, while waiting on the teacher to start she enjoyed talking with a friend.

Feet!!!!

Now we are really concentrating here!

You want us to do what???!??!

Okay, I guess we will give it a try!

We are really having fun now, Look Mommy see how my hair is flying, my hair always flies when I am having fun dancing, if you don't believe me go look at my ballet photos!

Learning on the bar with Miss Christiana, we have better balance here.

Now you are getting it girls, you are even all together on this one! YAY! Way to go!

We did it, YEAH, we are number 1! (Recital song is to Boogie OOgie Oogie, they do some moves reminescent of Staying Alive, it is adorable)

That was the second night we were allowed to watch our kids dance, now we won't get to see any more until the finished product in costume at the dress rehearsal and recital coming in May! I love watching her gain confidence and focus. Any kid needs things that make them feel good about themselves but it is especially important in ADHD and special needs kids. I am so happy she has found a few places like this where she is truly focused and happy and able to enjoy being a kid and having friends with similar interests.

I am glad all of you enjoyed my essay!
This brought back such fine memories of myself...also a little girl who had tons of energy and had trouble focusing on but one thing at a time. Tap dancing was the best...it released energy...main a lovely sound...and I COULD really do it! Great photo-essay...loved looking at all those little girls just having fun.
