we are less as the boys went to their father
i was thinking the movies immediately as that is how freedom is spelled for parents
going to the movies
then i got talking too long on the phone with a friend who called long distance
time just went by
it was 22.00 before we realized it
the girls ; me , my daughter and the dog went out to the local supermarket
that is open late, a very unusal shop in our part of the world
a large diet coke, at last i have not to hide, not be a cola closet drinker
as there is no one threatening to drink my supply and not to go to sleep
and jump up and down on the bed (even more than usual)
we then proceeded to the DVD shop , where we discovered we do have our differences
i searched for a relationship movie, or something with the following actors; Ben stiller
woody Allen , oh, there is a corner for classics, Betty Davis, Breakfast in Tiffiney's ,
no, i did not want a movie with someone blond about high school, no,
it was nearly closing time by the time we decided we have the following in common
we want a happy movie..
we both looked at the actors, and as i like Dustin Hoffman , we settled
on "Mr. Magorium wonder emporium "..
we just watched it , it is very late but this just the kind of movie this cynical computer age
kids that play , issues of loneliness, belief, imagination, belief and even letting go, and death .
Such magic phrases as " a just man ": a man that says that is just a store..
and other phrases
Dustin Hoffman plays the loveable mr Magorium that knows how to say i love you
and once again the world is a safe place to pretend
and it is alright and good to believe in impossible things
After a world saturated with Harry potter, and complex plots , this is a simply delightful
movie whose magic is in the simplicity of the plot and the honesty of the characters and the humor
I think we chose well
though if i had been alone, i probobly would have gone for that new movie about Jane Austen or some relationship movie
this movie really has it all, except jane Austen
no one takes themselves too seriously , life is simple and colorful like a box of crayons.
A good choice.
