I made a loaf of banana bread and it fell in the middle. Can anyone tell me why this happened? I have never had a loaf sink. The loaf tastes fine, but looks terrible. I cooked the bread 45 minutes and did pre-heat the oven for 30 minutes and set the oven at 350 degrees. Could this recipe have the wrong temperature and time to cook? I recieved it from somebody else.
Any banana bread recipes welcome, as I have several bananas to use on my counter.

Could a small earthquake cause it to happen? We did have one, but nothing moved in the house. I never have this problem in my bread maker even during an earthquake.

And I love banana bread!
Don't know why it fell.
In the future will make it in my bread maker, as banana bread never has fallen even during an earthquake in there. I was just so stunned to see the loaf look so bad. My daughter and her boyfriends family loved it. Thanks everyone for the help.
