For those of you who have not already read the story of Riddick, you can view it here:

About 5 weeks after I wisked the little Riddick away, the girlfriend showed up with the only other boy out of the 3 she had gotten. She explained that the little girl kitten had gotten into the bird cage and killed their pet bird. She took the poor little girl to a shelter, because she was upset. That really broke my heart! But she brought the little black and white boy to give him to my boss. I was instantly not happy with this situation, but decided to see how it went. She brought the remainder of the food she had bought with the kitten, so I at least knew there would be food for him. Almost like a re-run...this kitten was put in the back yard. I made sure the little guy was fed each morning that I showed up for work. I was supposed to be going out of town for a week at the beginning of July, and although I really wanted to swipe this new kitty too...I did not. When I came back from my vacation, I was very upset. There was no more food purchased and there was barely any remaining when I left. I spent my lunch break that day at the pet store again buying food for the new baby. He was so sweet and loving. I did not even get the chance to put the canned food on a dish when I opened it. He wanted it immediately. The can ended up on the ground and he was chowing down. It was a good thing that bought a few cans, because he was so hungry.
I was so upset at how the poor thing had been treated, I instantly called my husband and told him what was going on. His response was priceless..."I do not guess I could be mad at you if you bring him home".

SO, this time...without even one word to my boss...that is right - I DID NOT ASK OR TELL HIM that I was leaving with the baby. I just took him! And it felt so good. Can you guess how long it took anyone to ask me if I had seen the little guy??? It took about 4 days before the girlfriend even asked. When she did...I told her I had not seen him around, but that he probably went off looking for someone that would feed him and take care of him. She did not comment on that. But my boss never asked. It was not long after all of this that I left that job.
It took a few days to get the brothers use to each other again, since they had been separated so early on, but they did very well. It gave Riddick something else to play with...other than my ankles! They became so close.
Always cuddling each other, and they were always cuddling with me. If I was laying down...they were laying all over me. They loved to sleep in the crook of my arm.

It was so precious. They are my drooling/slobbering babies that knead and purr when they cuddle with me still. They have to get ahold of the sheet or my shirt and pretend that they are still tiny babies and have to nurse. I still think that this is because they were weaned too early.
After a few days of pondering...I named the new boy Tombs (in keeping with my theme from "The Chronicles of Riddick") haha
It did not take long for the "runt" Riddick to outgrow Tombs. And it is sometimes hard to think that they are actually brothers!
Here are a few pictures from the "Tombs Abduction" time-frame.
I know that you all want to see the recent shots too, so after I am able to get Kyra's story posted, I will do that. If you are impatient, there are shots of all of them in my images. :-) Have a wonderful day.

I still can't understand why someone would take a animal. Than not take care of it properly.
Thank you for stopping in.
He really is so sweet. I am so glad that he owns me! :-)
Samantha, thanks so much. I look forward to your story about the puppies. Please be sure to let me know when you get it done. People always find their names funny! I could not help myself! :-)
Lisa, thank you. A person does not have to be a "cat person" to save a life. I had never been owned by a cat before my saving these boys. I could not imagine my life without them now. :-)
Thank you Tanya
Thanks so much Renda!
Thanks for posting this to Graphic and Original Art
Nancy, I am glad that you loved the story. They seem to be very happy with me...especially when I give them their "kitty crack". their Greenies treats! hahaha
I am very grateful to have them in my life
I will hopefully get to Kyra's story by the beginning of next week.
I am glad you napped the poor baby.
I'm so glad you were able to rescue Tombs!
My Kyra story has nothing to do with these horrible people. I am at my mother's house this weekend, and do not have her pictures here with me...so it will be towards the beginning of the week before I can post her story, and it is so very sad in it's own way.
Again, thank you all!
Thanks so much for posting this to
my group
They love you and it shows, I love when they snuggle with us mere humans. Rascal does that with me and Bear is just getting use to sleeping next to me but doesn't like it when I try to spoon him. LOL Gray, well, she' won't come near the bedroom but is always under my desk.
Great story and I love when it all works out. Thanks for the post. Have a great weekend

Jeanie...I hope that I never have to face a day that I can not have my babies with me. They are my children, even my son considers them furry little siblings. :-)
I am so very glad that I was there at the right time to be able to save them. I am so very grateful that they have become a part of my life, and they surely have played a big part in keeping me as sane as I can be. With all the pain I have been going through for the past 14 months...they are life-savers for me.
Thanks again to all of you. I am glad that you have enjoyed these stories. I will try to get Kyra's posted soon. Thank goodness she did not have to be saved from the same place...she was an angel that showed up on my doorstep.
Glome, Thanks so much for stopping in. I hope that you were able to find the images of my monster kitty! :-) Yes, he was a bad man...and I am happy to not be associated with him anymore.
thanks for stopping by... I just brought in a kitten to be rehomed..and have had no such luck... he hates my cats and will probably not fit in too well.. I have 3 cats already.
and 3 dogs too!
I am so glad you saved him and took him in. He sounds like a very sweet kitty!
You are right Kim, purring kitties are a sedative for sure.
Thanks for the pings.
