I have a HOT DATE tonite!!!! ~ TAL

Well.  Actually I had a hot date......but plans changed and now I have a better one!

This American Life LIVE! is coming to my town.

It is my absolutely favorite radio show on NPR.  I really recommend googling 'This American Life' to give it a listen.  I think my favorite one might be the one about 'Babysitting'.

I have a secret crush on Ira Glass.  Now I won't get to meet him tonight as the program is a live feed.....but it is all good.

And my date tonite.....well it was to be a guy named Warren.....but plans changed so tonite's date will be ......ME!

I think I will make an awesome date for myself.

1)  I will open my own car door.

2)  I will make myself jealous.

3)  I can hold my own hand. 

4) My breath is good.

5)  I probably won't be getting any, but if I do.....I will totally respect myself in the morning.

6)  I stand a good chance of still liking myself in the morning no matter how the date goes.

7)  I know I am funny.  So ....I will surely be an entertaining date.

8)  I will wear a pretty perfume.....something with bergamot.  Because I like that.  Orrrr...should I wear a guy smell.  I totally dig guys with colognes.   I could totally dig myself.  Decisions, descisions.

9)  I will take myself for a walk on the beach.  Because I am all beachy like that and suggesting to myself that I like long walks on the beach doesn't sound as cheesy, because I know that it is true and sincere.

10)  I won't whisper to myself in the movie.

I soooo cannot wait! 

 My friend's young daughter asked me incredulously, you are going to a movie.....ALONE? By yourself????

And at first I was slightly embarassed.....but then I thought....yeah.  Yes, I am.  Because I am cool like that....and....heck  I would want to date me, too!    I hope that doesn't seem too silly but...you know?  We are talking Ira Glass here.
