We decided to pack up the kids and go to the Riverview Park here in our small town. It was a beautiful day that day. It was nice to spend several hours at the park just enjoying the kids and my husband and nature. Here is a photo of my son in the driveway and he is ready to leave for the park. Notice he already has my car keys in his hands!!
First on the agenda once we arrived to the park was the kids playing in the rocks. They have little sandpails and shovels that we got at the dollar store and we keep them in the trunk for when we go to the park.

Next we move on to the SLIDES!! This was my sons first time actually going down the slide.

My daughter is already a pro at the slides. She was showing off to Mommy and Daddy how she can climb! She even found friends to climb with! My daughter is on the right in both pics below.

My husband and I were sitting on a bench for a while just talking and watching them play. I mentioned how I wished I could get the kids to sit still by the pink tree so I could get a photo of them together. We were laughing because we knew that would NEVER happen. So my husband decided to climb a tree to impress me. He said, "you can get a photo of me in the tree!" He is a nut!

Now I should have gotten photos of him trying to get down out of that tree. That was hilarious!! Then my husband took a photo of me ON THE GROUND by a tree.

The rest are just random pictures I got while I was walking around and playing with the kids at the park. I did manage to get my daughter to stand still for 30 seconds to get a picture of her by the tree too!

All in all it was a beautiful day at the park!! We had a nice family day that day!! It doesn't happen very often, but when it does I really cherish these times. Thanks for coming to the park with us.

You know what's great about Gather? You've put all of these pictures here, with text. You can copy the whole thing to a disc, or just print out a paper copy. Then your entire day is recorded, not just the pictures. You can look back on this twenty years from now and have much clearer memories of this day rather than look at a bunch of pictures in an album or a box. This place let's us capture our lives.
You are right about the BIG KID in the tree.
