Email (amuse me, single word challenge)

Email? Love It!

I love to get my email,
check it many times a day.
My computer is slow like a snail,
but that doesn't get in my way.

It all looks interesting to me,
so I open mail from them all.
I have new-found popularity,
that makes me feel ten feet tall.

Somebody asked me to send a pic,
and I might be on a cool website.
My new friends know what makes me tick,
and that's just so cool and all right!

Got a message from the dial-up,
saying something was really wrong.
But I just said "Yup",
and ignored their dumb song.

They said something about virus's and a worm,
but I really don't feel sick.
Maybe it's kind of like a germ?
Or these dial-up people are just thick.

Besides, I met this great guy named Hank,
who's depositing for me, all kinds of cash.
I'm just waiting to hear from my bank,
then I'll have quite the stash!

Everything is going so good,
and I'm happy as a clam.
Just one question if you would,
What on earth is internet spam?
