I had to brake down and take the major highway to get to work today.

So much traffic!

So, I turned up the tunes, relaxed and took my time.

In this big parking lot of cars, I cruised along doing 5- 10 mph.

That's ok though.. I just sang along with the radio and acted as though, it didn't really bother me.

When all of a sudden I looked out my window and to my surprise, on the side of the road,  I saw a yellow rubber duck.

Not your dollar store variety rubber duck.  No, this duck had substance.

He was pretty big and if I had to guess, he had some weight to him.

He just lay there helplessly, on his side. 

Someone had carelessly discarded him,  like last week's fried rice.

They could have at least let him have some dignity and made sure he sat up straight.

Instead of being all toppled over like that, with his duck butt exposed.   

It's just a sick world out there...   lol

I considered for a moment, my plan to rescue him......

But, I thought better of it...  I mean people can be so judgemental.. right? 

I imagine it would have looked pretty funny..   a grown woman, in a business suit, darting out of her car and grasping the duck like a football player carries the ball....

No.... that duck was going to have to be saved by some other passer-by.
