I have always been a question asker and my daughter definitely got that gene too.
When she was 8 she wanted to know what a brain doctor was called and what they did exactly.
When she was 9 she wanted to know if a whale shark was a whale or a shark. I still don't know!
There were hundreds of other questions over the years that I can not remember of course ;-) But there were ALWAYS questions as there should be.
So in the spirit of asking questions I am going to post questions here everyday(or nearly everyday) to be pondered.
It will be called...drum roll please.....QUESTION OF THE DAY. wow.
If you would like to publish your own article aswering my question of the day please do, but please mention that it was my article that gave you the idea.
QUESTION OF THE DAY:
If you had the opportunity to go into space and search for other worlds/life forms would you go?
*The catch is you would be gone for 5 years, and you could take 1 person with you. (only 1!!)

Lisa you can bring one person...how about a pharmacist! LOL!
thanks all!
hmmmmmmmm.............
I'm not sure....
Suggestion: Why not start a group for your question of the day that way if someone writes an article there is a group to post it to?
Oh and I asked my husband about the whale shark thing. I will post my answer when he gives it to me. Or I will ping you with the answer that he gives me!
But he still rides elevators. That could well have done it for me when it comes to elevators. I'm not nuts about them, anyway, but I wouldn't freak out if I got stuck. However, that is a far different situation than being in space for years.

I would definitely go.
..and I would hope that my sweet honey Love would go with.
Cool question, Mandi. 10
Doyle, you are fast becoming my problem child! (but you make me laugh!)

As for who to take along, Hmmm Thats tough.
I have no actual best friends, My son would love to go but is only 8 and is FAR too important to me to risk his injury. I am divorcing and have no " lady " in mind. ? HMMMmm
Possibly my father, as he is the toughest guy I know and could scare off any beasties that were unfriendly. Ha Ha
Anyone here of the female persuasion wanna climb aboard with me.
no kidnapping allowed."
Ok. I'll be good. (Sort of). I pass then. :)

question I do have is this, is the ship an FTL so its possible to return in 5 'normal' years or would time have more rapidly progressed (ie-200 years for 5 ship years etc)?
I think a good spanking is in order! :P

On one hand, I would love to go, would take my main man Bill, if he would go. If he wouldn't I would take one of my grandsons, Austion or Zachary, the twins.
On the other hand, if I left I would miss so much of my grandkids lives, and I would miss my sons terribly. I couldn't take my animals and that would break my heart, so....
I think I would have to pass unless I could finagle a way to get all the family to come too.
;o)
Yes. .. where do I sign up? I have had enough of people this past week. Although he may require strangling at some point, I'll take my boyfriend Paul.. .. so long as I have a stasis chamber I can lock him up in when he starts to talk my ear off (and they say WOMEN talk a lot. . . "they" have never met Paul heh)
And I have 3 small children so that pretty much leaves me out right now anyway. Under different conditions, maybe. Something like Star Trek might be fun.... as long as I'm not wearing a red shirt.
