My Dear Creatives,

I have been so busy I have not been on Gather for a while. I wanted to let you know that the latest issues of both joyful! | " Make A Joyful Noise..." and THE SHINE JOURNAL | Flash Literature, Poetry, Art and Photography! are online.

News You Can Use:

The Shine Journal poetry contest has ended. You might recall that the prizes are $100.00, $50.00 and $25.00 for First, Second and Third places respectively. Winners, who will each be showcased in the journal, will be announced @ May/June. The latest issue of The Shine Journal will be up on May first and there will be some fantastic work there. Visit now and support our fabulous creative family and come back often. And please consider submitting your work as well.

joyful! The fledgling sister site to The Shine Journal, is still seeking submissions. joyful! is for those who enjoy spiritual or Christian works . All genres may be submitted for consideration so long as they are in keeping with the guidelines. joyful! seeks book reviews and non-fiction articles as well. And for something uplifting visit joyful!'s video and art page. joyful! is a work in progress...

So there you have it. Visit these two publications and submit some of your wonderful works. Understand that these are two different kinds of publications so it's important to read the guidelines. That said, each holds Gather friends in high regard when reviewing submissions-hint, hint, nudge, nudge!

Hi Pamela, well I just love Shine and I can't wait for Joy to be packed full of writing and art as well. You are a wonderful editor, so supportive and encouraging. Which reminds me that I haven't sent you my motivations for the Joy pieces!
I have been so scatterbrained lately!!! Shall get on to that for you.

Wow. Sounds like a lot of action on this site. I just happened on to you because I liked your icon. I found it growing in Barbaras site ... the tale of her Momma when she was young.
