Even if you work for birdseed you can travel by Uhaul!

Here at Embury Rd Self Storage and Uhaul we have discovered even if you work for bird seed you can travel by Uhaul! Last week I discovered a Robin had made a nest on one of our auto transports. Upon arriving to work today I find she has laid 4 bright blue eggs! Mama bird is still pleasantly plump no doubt she has plans of having more! Mama bird was a little camera shy but she had no problems with me taking snap shots of her little eggs! She looked as if she was a proud mother saying "look but don't touch!". She is wanting to travel in style and apparently Uhaul had the lowest rates!

Hope everyone enjoys the pictures it truly is a blessing and were going to leave this mama bird and her nest there until the babies can go one their own ... or they all pack up and move out of state! Whichever comes first!

I'll bet the mama had no idea that the U Haul might move out of there one day with her family on it. Does it take about 21 days for eggs to hatch? I don't know about robins but some birds lay an egg every other day until their eggs are all laid. I think 4 is about an average clutch for robins, isn't it?

I looked it up and robin eggs hatch in 14 to 16 days and the babies stay in the nest about 15 days until the mama lays the next batch of eggs. Robins don't usually eat bird seed but they eat earth worms, cutworms, larva, berries, and insects.
