While out in AZ Hubby and I took Maddie and visited a nearby town called GoldField. Goldfield was an old mining town turned Ghost Town that now has several shops and stuff that you can go visit. There is quite a bit you can do there but we got there about an hour before they were closing so we didn't do much but walk around and look at stuff.
If you want to find out more about it you can also visit this website: http://www.goldfieldghosttown.com/
They have a place that you can go in and pay $6 and they give you a pan filled with rocks and dirt, and you pan it out and then keep what you have left in your pan.
We took home a few tiny peices of gold and a few small garnets, as well as some iron pyrite, also known as fools gold.
This is David Panning for his gold:

Thanks for featuring me Susan!!!
Priscilla~ Those HUGE cactus are called Saguaro Cactus. I was intrigued by them since I had never seen anything like them before so I did a little research on them and found out that they do not even grow arms till they are about 65-75yrs old then they are considered matured at 125yrs.
Their average life span is about 150-175yrs or longer
Thanks.
(Thanks for participating in the "Name Him & Win" contest. Keep those names coming.)
