I wonder whether or not any of this is edible if you don't have a heat source. I bought a propane camping stove after the ice storm that left us without power for a week. This does seem like a low cost way to be prepared and have peace of mind.
Do you keep things on hand in case of emergency?

I am actually not good at the being prepared for things even though I know I should be.
