I was quite pleased by the sound of our group today. For those who aren't aware, I'm the student director of our med school's choir and today was the ceremony for the friends and family of those who donated their bodies to be our cadavers. It was a nice ceremony and our group sang beautifully and with a lot of passion. I know it meant a lot to the families as well. It made me smile.

That is great. Our cadavers are anonymous so we really don't get to do anything like that to thank the families and let them know how much it is appreciated and how much it means to us.

I want to be a cadaver and I hope I'm a ghost so I can see what I look like inside. I've always hated my skin (I'm 44 and still get zits) so I can only get better as we go in. My sinuses have always been such a bother - I want to see what they REALLY look like inside. And I bet my stomach is a funny shape (I burp so much).

Oh well, and when you're a cadaver do you get out of paying for the funeral? In fact I'd like to be recycled into dog food. I've always been cheap, practical, and will do most anything for dogs, and hate stupid waste.

I've donated my body to science when I die so I will probably end up as a cadaver but that's okay because they serve an important purpose. I would like either that or a body farm something that gives something back. I have diabetes so my organs probably won't be donateable.
