So What's Your Favorite Fruit Desert, And Why?

Mine would have to be Blackberry and Apple Pudding.

When I was young we used to have apply trees in our back garden.   We would pick the apples, then take then up to my Grandmothers house when we visited in the fall.  I would go along the railway embankment with my uncle (who passed away last month) and we would pick buckets full of blackberries.  The women would make a wonderful suet pudding, with cooked apple and blackberries in a suet crust, which was rolled up into a muslin bag and boiled in the pressure cooker.   It used to taste so good...  Great memories of 30+ years ago...

So what's your favorite and why?

Well, I don't think banana cream pie counts as a FRUIT dessert, but I certainly do love it :)

I love mandarin salad...mini marshmellows, mandarin oranges, cool whip, and coconut. I love it so much because it was something my mom always made us growing up...and it's still good! I make it with light or fat free cool whip now though LOL....

oh, for anyone interested, I usually make it with just white marshmellows, but the fruity ones are good sometimes too!!

Those all sound great.

We don't get banana cream pie in England, we make banana custard instead - can be served hot or cold. When my girlfriend comes over I have to take her to Golden Corral because she loves their banana cream pie. It is pretty good.

Strawberry shortcake is good, especially when the strawberries are riper and sweeter. Mmmmm....

Apple Pie is always a winner...

And as for the mandarid salad - I had somethign like that before - really good.... I love coconut... haven't seen it in Florida though, only in Indiana. Something geographically wrong with that...

As long as it has either real pineapple or a wedge stuck in the top I guess :)
Hard to get a good colada these days - everywhere just uses mixes - not quite the same...

Its a toss up between strawberry shortcake and apple crisp.. mmmm.. whenever anyone asks what my fav'rit dessert is, I would always say something like ice cream or chocolate cake..but then I thought about it and if you put applie crisp and ice cream or chocolate cake in front of me.. or strawberry shortcake, especially with lots of whipped cream on it.. I'd take the crisp or the strawberry shortcake every time. Golden Corral has some really yummy strawberry shortcake.. mmmmmm

Tony that's really funny because Golden Corral has AWESOME banana pudding!!!!
Anyway.. my favorite fruit dessert by far is the blueberry pie with ice cream at the Premier Movico in Boca.. next to Boomers.

You got it - the Golden Corral on Atlantic - next to Wallyworld. That's a pretty good one - not quite as many "scary" people as you find in some of them LOL :)
Food is good there - service is friendly too.

Hmmm. You might have something there... My favorite fruit dessert is anything with cherries. We had two cherry trees in our backyard when I was growing up. One was tart cherries - great for pies. The other was sweet, dark cherries - great for just picking and eating. Yum.

I love pie and my favorite is Boston Cream Pie, as get some pie and looks like cake as a bonus. Add a dish of cherry ice cream and I'll be happy all week.
Actual fruit...pears cooled in the refrigerator. They get nice and juicy that way. Very refreshing on a hot day.
And I think Tony owes us all a pie for bringing up the subject. Now I'm hungry.

Cherry chees cake. I buy a chees cake then I get a can of dark cheery pie filling but some whiped cream on top. Oh soooo good
