Slightly bizarre? Yes, but I am hoping this will lead to unexpected revelations. This is purely flow of consciousness dialog is the hope it will break through writing blocks.

From Painting to punting.

Now punting is an interesting sport. Fascinating the different forms the boats take, form Old Kingdom Egyptian boats on the Nile hippopotamus hunting, to English lakes, to Venetian canals.

Purple skies, blackened eyes,
Stolen dreams, empty streams,
Desperate souls, dying coals,
Sinking ships, chilling lips,
Desolate lands, unfeeling hands,
Melting snow, radioactive glow,
Crooked trees, scraped knees,
Demonic laugh, lonely half,
Clean sheets, barren streets,
Sinful heart, modern art ...

Erin don't stop unless you want to! Actually the imagery you evoke here is just the sort of thing to either break a block you have or someone else's. I love
