I was lying in bed early this morning trying to sneak in a few extra minutes of snooze time. The kids were up, and I knew I should be too. They were playing in Parker's bedroom, and I vaguely overheard them discussing taking a trip. Shortly after that they came into my and my husband's bedroom to inform me that they were going on a trip. I mumbled something about being careful and continued snoozing, knowing that they would walk around the house pretending (they always do). Only minutes later I heard the front door opening and no longer heard kid voices. I jumped up and walked into the living room. I could see from the hallway that light was coming in across the floor from the front door. I peered out the window and sure enough, there were the kids walking around the yard, backpacks on their shoulders, little handbags in their hands. They had even put on clothes, and I have a heckuva time getitng them to change out of their pajamas in the mornings. I went and put on clothing of my own and grabbed my camera - had to get a picture of this. When I walked outside they instantly told me they were going on a trip. I too my photo and came inside to make breakfast. Not much of a tale, I know, but I thought it was pretty cute and funny. I just noticed that they even have a "map" too. LOL

At least they had a map so as to not get lost~
I wish I had a child's imagination! I'd have fun every day.
I think they look pretty cute. LOL
Next time they come up here, we will go hiking. Tell the kids "Nana is going to take them hiking"
