Gather HELP!!

How can I spotlight my article! I have done it before, but that was only after I saw it show up on my feed then I clicked "spotlight" but now I don't see it on the feed and am lost!!

if you go to my gather page then go to profile it should have a little box that has articles and stuff in it just pull down the lil drop down box under my feeds and go to articles and it will show you all ur articles so then spotlight this should be beside them

Yup! Got to My gather-my profile, click on the drop box for articles or images, it will pull them up and then you'll see where it says highlight this or that. I found it and lost it several times, lol!
Comes in handy for finding friends latest articles and images also. I think that was in the same place!

Yes, you can do this from your profile page. However, I would be patient with people learning the new system. Comments have dropped, I think. Here is one for you, anyway :)

There's a delay in the articles being published and them being added to the feed where you can spotlight them. I've noticed around a 10 minute delay.

You can spotlight from your profile. Just click SPOTLIGHT THIS.

Also we all are seeing a drop in comments. No one can navigate stuff... but be careful on mass mails. Some will block/disconnect from you for sending too many of them.

I spend hours commenting. It helps people remember you are around and aids in them repaying the favor.

Go to your profile page. Look at the feed section for commets there, use the pull down menu to select the type of content it was, and manually scroll through those pages until you find the item you are looking for.

As others have stated, there are several reasons why you may have difficulty locating content to spotlight:

1) It can take up to 15 minutes for new content to appear in your profile feed.

2) Your profile feed only contains content published April 7 and later. Therefore, you will not be able to locate content published prior to this time.

3) There is a 500 item limit on your feed. Every comment you post, each time you update your profile or your status, each group you join, etc. all count as a single 'item'. Therefore, if you are a prolific commenter in the community, less of your content will appear in your feed.

I'm kind of waiting to see if they allow us to spotlight our older stuff myself. I would think it an excellent way to get good articles etc. "unburied" as it were, without having to republish.... we'll see.

Hi Chelsea. I can tell you how to find others articles in order to comment on them. They're on your gather page where it says friends. Click on to your friends. It will take you to all your connections. Scroll down until you find who you're looking for. Click on their name and it takes you to their feed where you will find their articles. That's how I found your articles. Have a great weekend! :)
